No Bake Swedish Chocolate Oatmeal Balls

These chocolate oatmeal bolls are the first sweet a Swede bakes as a child because they are done without cutting or heating. They are hence very quick and easy to make.


  • 3 deciliters oatmeal

  • 100 g room temperature butter

  • 0.5 deciliter caster sugar

  • 2 tablespoons of cocoa

  • 1 tablespoon vanilla sugar

  • 2 tablespoons cold coffee

  • coconut flakes


  1. Mix butter and sugar until smooth (easiest with your hands).

  2. Add sugar, cocoa, vanilla sugar and coffee and stir together into a dough.

  3. Form small balls and roll them in the coconut flakes.

  4. Put them in the fridge for about 30 minutes before you serve them

  5. Enjoy!
